Participants are roughly 14 to 18 years old.

It's not just a tournament.
It's (also) about what young people take home.

PGSI 2027 is a Salesian sports event where sport is a means to an end: it promotes a healthy lifestyle, real friendships and Salesian values among young people.

Four pillars

  1. Sport

Fair games where everyone gets to play, not just the finalists. Clear rules, consistent refereeing, equal conditions for all and a strong focus on fair play.

  2. Friendship

Young people from thirteen countries play, eat, celebrate, pray and find a common language together. The people you meet here will stay with you long after 3 May.

  3. Organisation

The Games are prepared by young people and volunteers who learn responsibility and teamwork along the way. We build it together, and participants get to experience a well-run event.

  4. Faith

PGSI are Salesian games, and faith belongs to them just as much as sport. Holy Mass, adoration and confession in several languages throughout the Games.

Four sports

For boys and girls. A group stage followed by play-offs, so every team plays at least three matches.

  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Futsal
  • Table tennis

  2. 2016

The second, under the motto “We fight for the soul, on the pitch and in life.”
